The Biz Stage Academy is the vision & dream of two professional, passionate working performers, Annie Cooper & Kirsty Adams. Their blend of talent, energy and experience creates something dynamic and edgy, reaching out to Children, giving them memories to last a lifetime...and so The Biz Stage Academy was born...
 Annie Cooper

Annie started out in the industry training in dance at the famous London studio centre at the age of three. She was also a gymnast and by the age of eight Annie was training at the Olympic stadium in Moscow twice a year with top Olympic coaches.


Annie then won a scholarship to attend the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School at the age of eleven. Annie’s class mates at Sylvia Young included Lee Ryan from Blue, Billie Piper and Amy Winehouse to name a few. Annie also studied at The Central school of Ballet until the age of sixteen.

 

While at theatre school Annie appeared in numerous television commercials, children’s programs and stage productions.

After leaving Sylvia Young Theatre School Annie went on to study Meisner technique. Stanford Meisner taught many great actors include Robert Douvall, Diane Keaton, Bob Fosse, Grace Kelly and writers such as Arthur Miller and David Mamet.

 

Annie has many credits to her name appearing in several current music videos including Basshunter, DJ Sash, Alex Gauldino, Out of office and Jamie T’s “Shelia” along side Bob Hoskins. Most recently Annie appeared in ITVs Coronation Street as “Danielle”, Alicia in Skins C4, Michelle in The Bill ITV.  Annie has just finished filming Mathew Vaughn’s (director of “Layer Cake” and “Stardust”) new movie “Kick Ass” staring Nicholas cage.

 


 Kirsty Adams

At the age of 11 Kirsty attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School, having to leave her home and Parents in Hampshire to start a new life in London. This tough decision was not taken lightly especially as her Parents weren’t keen on letting her go!


After having a fun and creative childhood working professionally in TV, Theatre, Radio & Commercials, a sample of which include Annie Get Your Gun & Jesus Christ Superstar, CD Recordings both recorded at Abbey Rd Studios, playing lead roles in many BBC radio plays a long with playing Talulah in Bugsy Malone for The Children’s Royal Variety at The London Palladium. Kirsty made her WestEnd debut at the age of 12 in Robin Hood Prince Of Sherwood at The Piccadilly Theatre, London.

 

Kirsty went on to study Musical Theatre at the age of 16 at Arts Educational Chiswick where she feels she learnt her trade and it was here her love for Musical Theatre was formed. Whilst at college Kirsty danced at The Brit Awards dancing for Simply Red. At the age of 19 Kirsty appeared in The European Premier of Jekyll & Hyde playing 1st cast Mary. She then went on to appear in Beauty & The Beast, European Tour, Cabaret playing Fritzy one of the “two ladies” and Time Out, Vienna.

 

Now at the age of 30 and after gaining a wealth of experience in teaching drama, dancing and singing to Children age 3-16 over the past 6 years, she feels passionate about fulfilling her next dream...The Biz Stage Academy.
